Noemi “La Rebelde” Bosques, was born on April 20, 1983, in Saint Petersburg, Florida. At three years old, her father would play boxing games with her at home. Little did he know how these seemingly playful games would influence Noemi later in life.
Noemi stayed involved in sports throughout middle school and high school, excelling in basketball, track, and flag football. Her athletic prowess and sportsmanship allowed her to win an MVP award and was voted the “Most Athletic” student of her high school class.
At the age of 18, after graduating, Noemi signed up for local boxing competitions “for fun” without any training experience. In those “for fun” competitions, she went undefeated in six contests stopping all but one of her opponents. With this experience, Noemi sought out serious training to expand her boxing ability, but it was her family that grew with the birth of her daughter.
Noemi, now 24-years-old, returned to the ring embarking on what she describes as an “exciting” amateur career. She was ranked number one at the Sunshine State Games in Florida her first year boxing; finalist in the Kansas City Ringside World Tournament; finalist in the Florida State Pals, bronze medalist at the National Pal; ranked number one in Florida State two consecutive years; ranked number one in the Region for two consecutive years; and ranked top 10 in the United States for two years in a row.
Noemi’s pro debut took place on May 18, 2012, in Tampa, Florida at the Doubletree Hotel. Noemi proved to herself and the boxing community that all of the years of training had paid off as she defeated Amarillis Adorno by a four-round unanimous decision. She quickly climbed the rankings claiming three titles which triggered high-profile bouts against the best fighters women’s boxing.
Not only is she busy as a professional athlete, she is also busy all year long with her foundation the Power Up Project which benefits children and those needing the uplifting everywhere.
Inside and outside of the ring Noemi is proving to be a champion in every day life.
I was born and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida, the Sponge Capital of the World! At 14, I was
diagnosed with scoliosis and my doctor urged me to practice yoga for stronger posture. I had never
enjoyed exercise, but grudgingly went to a class. I became stronger, more flexible, and confident,
and found immense pleasure in exercise. I tried weight lifting, step aerobics, and kickboxing, and
found my niche in Group Exercise! Several instructors suggested I become an instructor because I couldn’t keep the giant smile off my face during classes—it was too much fun!
I certified as a Group Exercise Instructor in 2004, but it took me until 2006 to work up the nerve to
instruct. I taught step aerobics and strength/resistance, then kickboxing, boot camp, circuit training, yoga and Pilates.
In 2011, I certified in Les Mills BODYPUMP®, which was dramatically different than what I had done
before and propelled my fitness to a much higher level. I’ve been in love with BODYPUMP® since!
In 2014, I earned my MFA in Studio Art from Texas Christian University. While I enjoyed Dallas, I
longed for the coastal lifestyle and landscape I knew as “home.” I saved my Group Exercise income in
a “Florida Fund”, and moved to Clearwater in 2016. I met an amazing community of Group Exercise
Instructors and acquired classes of my own. An enormous stroke of good luck led me to be hired as an adjunct art professor by SPC.
In 2017, I certified in Les Mills TONE® and I am officially a Les Mills addict! Group Exercise is a
magical experience when the music, choreography, and instructor coaching all align to transcend mundane “exercise.” This is what Les Mills classes are designed to do!
I am grateful to be a part of the Kinetix family. The members and staff are incredibly supportive and
friendly, which makes every class I teach here a pleasure! I look forward to meeting you in class!
I was born and raised in Miami, Fl, but came to St Pete ten years ago. After
gaining some sympathetic baby weight when my first son was born, I struggled
finding motivation to work out. That’s when I stepped into my first Les Mills
BODYPUMP® class. I quickly became addicted to BODYPUMP® and
BODYCOMBAT®, and in 2010 I was convinced to go through BODYCOMBAT®
training. It was a natural fit with my martial arts background. Eight years
later and I’ve added CXWORX® and BODYFLOW® to my certifications.
My day job is running the video production department for Jabil, a major
international manufacturing company. My hobbies include portrait
photography, video games, traveling, yoga, and drinking wine
Hi everyone my name is Lynne and I currently instruct the yoga classes at
Kinetix on Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Please come join me sometime.
The first time I experienced a yoga class was in the northeast many years
ago and I fell it love with the practice. Over the years I took various yoga
classes and when I decided to become an instructor I trained in the Kripalu
(means compassionate) style. I received my 200 hr training in St. Augustine,
Florida in the summer of 2009 over a five week period and have been teaching ever since.
I currently live in Pinellas Park and have been here over 30 years.
I enjoy going to the beach, parks, movies, bicycling, traveling as well taking various fitness classes.
